JEAN DE VILLIERS
A former South African rugby player and captain, Jean represented WP, Stormers, Munster, Leicester Tigers and South Africa. In a career that earned him 109 Springbok caps, Jean became the 54th Springbok captain leading the team on 37 occasions.
BRENDAN VENTER
Husband to Anneme, father of 3 children and a medical doctor. Brendan is also a former professional SA rugby player that represented the Springboks at 2 World Cups. As one of rugby's best strategists, he has had successful coaching roles with Saracens, Sharks and Italy among others.
DORETTE BADENHORST
Dorette Badenhorst is the current Spar Proteas coach. She took over from Norma Plummer who left at the end of the 2019 World Cup. Badenhorst had been Plummer’'s assistant at the tournament which was played in England.
DUNCAN WOODS
A former professional water polo player, Duncan represented South Africa at FINA World Championships and The Commonwealth Games. After making his debut in 1997, he went on to captain the team from 1999 until his retirement in 2010 winning many accolades along the way.
MIGNON DU PREEZ
Mignon is an iconic female sports women, who has pioneered the route to professionalism for female cricketers in South Africa. She has a passion for sport, marketing, and a will to succeed. Her leadership is undisputed, captained SA 97 times, represented SA more than 240 times and has accumulated more than 5300 run to date.
HENNIE BRITTZ

A former South African professional rugby player, Neil represented and captained Griffons, WP, Stormers and then Saracens in the UK where he amassed an incredible 263 caps. Neil also won 10 caps for the Springboks and was a member of the 2003 Rugby World Cup squad.

A former South African rugby player who captained at all levels throughout his career at WP, Stormers and at Northampton Saints in the UK. Corné represented the Springboks 39 times and captained the team on 18 of those occasions. He also led the Springboks at the 2003 Rugby World Cup in Australia.

CHRISTELENE STEINHOBEL
With a rugby career that started in England, Christelene then went on to make her debut for the Springbok women in 2016 and competed at The Commonwealth Games and World Cup for women's Sevens. Through her decade of experience, she has developed a passion for people and how they operate within various systems.
NEIL POWELL
A former South African professional rugby player at Super Rugby level, Neil also represented and captained the South African national rugby sevens team until his retirement in 2012. Widely regarded as one of the best coaches on the circuit, he continues in his role as head coach of the South African national rugby sevens team which he has held with great success since 2013.
DR. HENNING GERICKE
As the sports psychologist who helped the Springbok Rugby team claim the title of World Champions in 2007 and mentally prepare Olympic Champion Cameron van der Burgh to achieve his life-long dream, Dr Henning Gericke has a wealth of insight into the mind of the champion, empowering them with mental skills, resilience and composure to achieve their goals.
DUNCAN FLETCHER
Duncan Fletcher OBE is a Zimbabwean cricket coach and former cricketer, who coached both India and England from 1999 until 2015. He is credited with the resurgence of the England team in test cricket winning the Ashes Series. Fletcher also led the Indian team to 8 consecutive series victories leading up to his retirement.
SCHALK BRITS
A 2019 Rugby World Cup Winner, Schalk earned 15 caps for the Springboks and captained the team on 3 occasions. Having played Super Rugby, it was with Saracens that Schalk made his biggest impact playing a pivotal role in winning numerous domestic and European titles including being awarded RPA Premiership Player of the season 2009.
PIETER-STEPH DU TOIT
A 2019 Rugby World Cup winner and World Rugby player of the year, Pieter has been a stalwart for South African rugby and continues to perform at the highest level. With over 50 appearances for the Springboks, Pieter is also the 60th captain to lead South Africa.
BRAD BARRITT
Having won the Currie Cup with the Natal Sharks in 2009, Brad made the decision to further his career in the UK and went on to captain and represent Saracens where he amassed 5 domestic titles and a further 3 European titles earning him 261 caps. He also earned 26 international caps for England and toured with the British & Irish Lions to Australia in 2013 before retiring in 2020.
JOHN SMIT
One of International Rugby's most successful captains and players of all time, John ended his international career with 111 Springbok caps, leading the Springboks to World Cup glory in 2007. Following his retirement he was inducted into the IRB Hall of Fame in 2011. After a short stint in France and playing for Saracens in the UK, John retired in 2013 achieving numerous accolades along the way.
STEVE BARKER
A former professional soccer player and currently in charge of Stellenbosch FC, Steve has coached at the elite level for over a decade and recently secured Stellenbosch FC promotion to the PSL in his first year at the club.
SIVIWE 'SHAKES' SOYIZWAPI
Having represented his country at over 30 tournaments, 'Shakes' has recently been handed the role of SA national 7's Captain and has goals to play a pivotal role and lead the team in the upcoming Olympic Games. He has also represented Border and played Super Rugby for the EP Kings before making the switch to 7's.
A former South African rugby player who represented WP, Stormers and then Bath in the UK. Renowned for his attacking ability, Robbie was capped 31 times by the Springboks. After embarking on a career in coaching, he later took charge of the Stormers Super Rugby team for 4 seasons as Head Coach from 2016 to 2019.
